1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BuildReels ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our") at buildreels.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

BuildReels is an AI-powered short-form video creation platform. The Service provides a custom interface for underlying AI models — including OpenAI (GPT-4o, DALL·E, TTS) and ElevenLabs (voice synthesis) — to generate video scripts, voiceovers, and short-form videos using licensed stock footage. Videos are delivered as downloadable MP4 files. BuildReels is an independent platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, ElevenLabs, or any other AI provider.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Be at least 18 years old, or have parental consent if younger

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscription Plans and Billing

BuildReels offers the following plans:

  • Free: 3 lifetime video generations, 720p
  • Pro ($29/mo): Unlimited videos per month, AI Scenes, all durations, priority processing

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Prices are in USD. You authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel. Video credits reset on your monthly billing date.

5. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account Settings page using the "Manage Subscription" option. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until that date. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial months except as described in our Refund Policy.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to create, distribute, or promote content that:

  • Is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or abusive
  • Infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Contains misinformation intended to deceive or mislead
  • Promotes violence, hate speech, or discrimination
  • Is sexually explicit, pornographic, obscene, or adult in nature
  • Exploits, depicts, or endangers minors in any way
  • Facilitates fraud, phishing, spam, or other deceptive practices
  • Violates any applicable laws or regulations

BuildReels is intended for general-audience content creation only. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any original content you provide as input (e.g., topic text). The AI-generated scripts, voiceovers, and assembled videos produced by the Service are licensed to you for personal and commercial use.

Stock footage is sourced from Pexels and is provided under the Pexels License. You must comply with the applicable third-party licenses when using generated content.

BuildReels retains ownership of all platform software, design, and branding.

8. Social Media Integrations

BuildReels allows you to connect social media accounts (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) and publish videos on your behalf. By connecting an account, you:

  • Grant BuildReels permission to upload videos and access basic channel/profile information through the respective platform APIs
  • Confirm that you own or have the right to publish to the connected account
  • Agree that your use of the connected platform remains subject to that platform's own Terms of Service
  • Acknowledge that BuildReels is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok

You can revoke access at any time from Settings. You may also revoke access directly from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions, your Instagram account settings, or your TikTok account settings.

BuildReels is not responsible for content published to your social media accounts or for any enforcement actions taken by those platforms regarding your content.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including OpenAI (AI generation), ElevenLabs (voice synthesis), Pexels (stock footage), Supabase (data storage), YouTube Data API v3, Instagram Content Publishing API, and TikTok Content Posting API. Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the conduct of third-party services.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated videos will meet specific quality standards, go viral, or achieve any particular result. AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildReels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
